Interaction

Eagle Cap Real Estate is located in Wallowa County. Both of the McKee Brothers (Todd and Andy) are within minutes of the property, in case a need arises.

Neighborhood

The Lakes Basin Village is conveniently located directly between downtown Joseph and Wallowa Lake. The main bike path to the lake can be accessed directly in front of property. The lake is less than a mile away along the bike path. Two nice hikes are located just off the bike path on the way to the lake. Details for both hikes are included in our guidebook. Downtown Joseph is even closer to the property. Well maintained side walks are available all the way from the property to downtown for the short walk.

Access

Horseshoe Lake is located on the 2nd floor of a fourplex less than a mile from Wallowa Lake. As a guest, you will have complete access to this house after check-in and we encourage you to settle in and make yourself at home during your stay. . There is ample parking available, along with additional parking for trailers and boats should you need it.

This is a pet-friendly home, but we do have policies to adhere to to ensure that we can continue to offer this amazing benefit to future guests. Please inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing a pet. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the property should you fail to do this. There is a $25 nightly fee per dog (ESA animals included) that will be collected prior to check-in. This is refundable should your pet no longer be accompanying you after the fee is paid.

Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture, nor are they allowed to be left unattended in the unit unsupervised.

The full bathroom is near the bedrooms and has a combination bath and shower. The bold color theme from the rest of the condo continues into this space. The bathroom is stocked with fresh towels, a hair dryer, and essential toiletries for your convenience.

☆☆ KITCHEN, LOUNGE & DINING ☆☆

The heart of this first-floor apartment is the open-plan kitchen, lounge, and dining area, which features a vibrant theme with bold color contrasts. Two large windows allow sunlight to flood the space during the day for a bright and cheerful feel.

The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook delicious meals during your stay. The layout is in a convenient corner arrangement and features modern appliances, including a full-sized oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and a large sink. Stylish built-in cabinets offer plenty of space for you to neatly store your holiday eats.

A charming dining area with seating for four is located adjacent to the kitchen and is a great space to enjoy meals or a morning coffee with your friends and family.

A few steps away is the modern lounge that is complete with a large HDTV, comfortable leather sofa, upholstered chair, and coffee table. An ideal place to play board games or to kick back and enjoy your favorite shows during your stay.

This apartment is located in a quiet 4-plex within walking distance of the beautiful Wallowa Lake. A well-maintained bike path passes directly in front of the building, offering a convenient point to start exploring the area.

Transit

There is plenty of parking on site. There is parking between the first 4-plex and the main road and more spots in front of the 2nd 4-plex. Also you can park around the grass island if you are pulling a trailer or need extra parking spots.

Notes

Below are the contents of our rental agreement we ask all parties to sign after finalizing a reservation

1. NOISE: This unit is on the 2nd floor of a 2 story 4-plex. Guests on the 1st floor are told in advance that they will likely hear noise from the unit above (this unit) When occupied (Mainly footsteps etc). We ask you keep that in mind and opt for Yoga rather than tap dancing for your exercise during your stay.

2.PETS: While we are proud to be a pet friendly business, many of our guests stay with us without pets and have great experiences. For individuals that have dog/cat allergies, we don't guarantee a dander free space.
A) No pets are allowed without paying, in advance, the $25/night pet fee for each pet (we charge pet fees for ESAs).
B) If you intend to bring any pets and didn’t list the number of pups accurately in your reservation, please inform us of the correct number of pups immediately so we can Note it in our records.
C) The pet fee isn’t included as part of the initial reservation price. We will send you a separate request to pay the pet fee about a week prior to your visit. D) If you bring pets without informing us or without paying the pet fee, we reserve the right end your reservation early.
E) No pets left in the unit unattended
F) No pets allowed on the furniture

3. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT: Check-in is allowed any time after 3:00 pm, and check-out is required no later than 11:00 am. We may be able to offer early check-in up to 2 hours for a fee of $15/hour and late check-out up to 2 hours for $15/hour. If you would like to arrange for early check-in and/or late check-out, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

5. BUGS: Please be advised we are located near lots of farms and ranches. Bugs are plentiful. We spray for bugs outside and inside the condo multiple times a year. We also have a bug zapper in the unit to attract any flying bugs that evade our defenses. It is still possible that you will see a creepy crawly during your visit. We do advise keeping the door closed as much as possible for an added defense.

6. PARTIES: Parties are not allowed at this location without prior approval.

7. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

8. BEDS: All of our beds are outfitted with medium-firm memory foam mattresses. While the vast majority of our guests find them to be very comfortable, individuals who prefer an extra-soft mattress may find them too hard.

9. VIDEO DOORBELL: Please be advised that there is a motion-activated video doorbell at the exterior entrance of the unit as an added safety measure.

101 BUGS: Please be advised we are located near lots of farms and ranches. Bugs are plentiful. We spray for bugs outside and inside the condo multiple times a year. We also have a bug zapper in the unit to attract any flying bugs that evade our defenses. It is still possible that you will see a creepy crawly during your visit. 11. AC: This unit has a portable AC Unit in the Living room. Please note that while it does an excellent job of cooling the unit, it is does create a fair amount of white noise while in operation.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that all cancelations are required to pay a 5% processing fee.
-To receive a full refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in
-If guests cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in, they will be refunded 50% for all nights
-If guests cancel less than 7 days before check-in, they will not receive a refund
- Guests can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in

We decided to take a last minute trip to Joseph, OR to wrap up our end of summer camping trip and we are SO glad we did! The AirBnB was in a great location right at the end of town. You could easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants or take a short drive up to Wallowa lake. The owners did a really great job with this place, it was clean, homey, and nicely decorated. For fellow dog lovers, this place had everything! From treats and tennis balls, to a dog bed and blanket, they really made our pups feel welcomed. I also loved the map that showed all the places other guests have visited from, such a great way to make your guests feel connected!

Great Stay
This is a very convenient location to both Wallowa lake and Joseph. It's on the main road between the two, but it's quiet and there are easy trails just a short walk away. The owners communicate well, and check in/out was easy. The space is nicely decorated, and well equipped with all the kitchen things and quality linens and towels. It is a pet friendly property, and there were so many thoughtful amenities for a dog, that we wished we would have brought ours! We also appreciated that there was no other evidence that a pet had ever stayed there. It's super clean!

Loved the clean, new decor! Kitchen was well- stocked with all utensils if we wanted to cook a homemade meal (we didn’t, did dinner takeouts and enjoyed the cozy living room). We appreciated the clean bathroom with enough towels and toiletries required for our two-days of weekend stay. It got a little warm at night and we were glad to have the ac unit in the living room, just needed to keep the bedroom door propped open and let the cool air in! Absolutely wonderful place for a getaway. Owner was kind and easy to work with. The place is very well maintained. Tons of thoughtful touches. The bed was very comfortable and the bath towels were soft and fluffy! We took advantage of the cribbage board, which was a clever touch as it was from a local store with a Wallowa Lake theme. The push-pin map on the wall was fun to add our pin onto. Location was right on a bike/walking path that led to the lake in one direction and downtown in the other. Convenient parking.

It is right off the road so there is some noise, but it’s quiet at night during sleeping hours. Perfect Wallowa County Stay
We previously resided in Wallowa County. Visited friends. We do not know the owners personally. This property is A+ all around for anyone wanting to visit Joseph and Wallowa Lake. You can easily walk to downtown or to the lake or enjoy a hike at Iwetemlaykin Historical Site and hike the moraine from the property. Owners were attentive to our needs without being interruptive. We didn’t have our dog with us, but attention to detail in making a pet’s stay pleasant was not lost on us. Even had a tennis ball and dog treats in the welcome tray along with coffee and popcorn. While pet friendly, this unit is very clean. The beds were comfortable, and when we needed air conditioning, the host came to take care of setting it up immediately. The only downside is location, as the view is of the road and parking lot. But the price is very reasonable and reflects that drawback. Would stay here again at this price point.

We really enjoyed our stay at the condo, the location is perfect for exploring Joseph and the Wallowas! We could easily walk to Wallowa lake in one direction and Joseph’s downtown in the other. The view of the mountains was breathtaking! The condo is well stocked for a comfortable stay, we were able to cook a lot and relax when we weren’t out exploring. Would highly recommend!

Our first attraction to this listing was pet friendliness and boat parking. After arriving we were pleasantly surprised with the little things that were welcoming and made it feel like home. The black makeup towels, neutral smelling soap and shampoo, dog bed and bowls, all the kitchen necessities, and even books on the local area. We were quite pleased and look forward to our next visit.

The property is exactly as seen in the photographs. Very clean. Tastefully decorated in a "lake theme". I really liked that each room had its own heat control. The shower has nearly instant hot water and great pressure. Our host, Todd, checked in with us shortly after arrival and was happy to share recommendations when asked. Great access to the heritage site (which is a nice walk) and the property is also within walking distance of lake Wallowa and the Chief Joseph burial site. Also, if you're a jogger, these all make for nice runs right out the door. We had the added delight of having deer in the back yard on a couple of days~ which we enjoyed. If we are ever fortunate enough to get back to Joseph, we would stay again.

We stayed in Unit 24 - upstairs. The location is great - walking distance from Iwetemlaykin heritage area / a great walk in the wilderness, and close to everything - the lake, the town, the tram, other bigger hiking. The unit was very clean and very well-equipped. The kitchen is totally functional with a decent electric stove / oven, coffee-maker, toaster, dishwasher, good fridge/freezer, plenty of dishes and pots/pans. The shower is great and there's a tub. We would definitely come back.

The location is an easy walk into town. You can walk in on the city side streets and see deer grazing on the lawns. Or you can walk on a path to the lake and swim area. I loved the Keurig coffee maker with plenty of coffee available. The property managers are great at communicating with you at just the right time and I had no problems finding the place and opening the door or checking out. The place was roomy, clean and quiet.

This was a great place to come and celebrate our 20th anniversary. The condo has a full kitchen, it is walking distance to town and the lake so, in my mind… the perfect location. This is a small two-bedroom condo conveniently located between downtown Joseph and the lake (just under a mile walk to the county park at the north end of the lake). It's very clean and neat, with new furniture and dishes, a large smart TV, and extra soft sheets. Andy is responsive and easy to work with, and the apartment worked great for us as a home base during our long weekend in the Wallowas.

The unit was exactly as advertised. The location was excellent and on a local bike path that will take you to Iwetemlaykin State Heritage Site which has a wonderful network of trails. The bike path is about a 1 mile ride to the western side of the lake. The host reached out to us numerous times to ensure our stay met expectations.

Andy’s place was fantastic! My husband and I were on a road trip for our honeymoon (our plan C, but fantastic nonetheless). Our first stop was Joseph, Oregon, and our stay at Andy’s was great! Andy's place was a nice home-base for our exploration of the Wallowas. Super conveniently located for hiking, town access, and post-hike swimming in the lakes. Unit itself was adequate. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen is nice. Note that the bedrooms face the main road through town, so if you're sensitive to noise, plan accordingly. Andy was very helpful and quick to respond to our needs.

This condo is very nice. The bed and pillows were so comfy. Situated close to the lake and downtown. Very little noise from the street and the neighbors. Make sure you bring K-cups for the coffee maker. Had a great time.
