WELCOME TO FERNWOOD. A COOLFONT MOUNTAINSIDE CABIN, EQUIP WITH ALL THE AMENITIES NEEDED TO GET-A-WAY FROM IT ALL AND RELAX. ENJOY THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF NATURE RIGHT FROM THE DECK, ON SITE HIKING TRAILS, COMMUNITY HEATED POOL AND HOT TUB (OPEN MEMORIAL DAY-LABOR DAY) , PLAYGROUND, TENNIS AND BASKETBALL COURT, AND ONLY MINUTES TO DOWNTOWN BERKELEY SPRINGS.

Fernwood is located in the iconic Coolfont Mountainside.
Featuring the community amenities on on site hiking trails, basketball and tennis courts, rec field, playground and seasonal ( open Memorial Day-Labor Day) in ground pool, kiddie pool and hot tub.
After booking and once we receive your email address we will send you our rental agreement. It will be emailed directly to you from our direct booking site. Once agreed upon and submitted back, you will receive your arrival instructions prior to your stay, which will include directions and access to the cabin.
Access will be self check in for your safety.
All rental agreement policies must be followed.
The cabin offers 3 full bedrooms- Main level master bedroom with a private bath features a queen size bed and Jacuzzi tub with shower. The upstairs offers 2 full bedrooms and an additional bathroom with a stand up shower. Bedroom 2 has a full size bed and bunk beds, bedroom 3 offers a queen size bed.
Open concept living space on the main level. Directly off the living room you'll find a full deck and screened in porch for relaxing and enjoying time together right with nature. Large yard for activities and evening fun.

1 mile to the Berkeley Springs Brewery, Treetop Restaurant, and Craft Adventures for lake fishing, boating and Kayak rentals and opportunities for fun.

*As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, accidental damage protection is part of your booking. The cost of this protection has been included in your fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay.
*Rental agreement must be submitted to our company prior to receiving access information.
*Booking guests must be 25 yrs old or older to book and accept the rental agreement.
*This cabin is pet friendly. We do have a pet fee and our county and community does have a leash law. All pets and owners must abide by the pet policy in our rental agreement and our areas leash law.
* This cabin is located in a beautiful and peaceful community. We ask all our guests to please respect others with the community guidelines so we all can keep this community great!
*Mountainside Getaways offers a starter supply packet of items for your convenience. These items are just a "starter supply" please note if your stay is extended, we recommend you bring additional supplies if you feel you will need them. Extended stay package of supplies can be purchased in advance if requested. Please contact in advance in order to assure these additional items can be provided.
*Hot Tub- This cabin does have a private hot tub. We ask that you are respectful of our hot tub rules. Absolutely no soaps or oils are to be added to the hot tub, no trash or debris are to be put/left in the hot tub, and we ask that the hot tub cover is kept on the hot tub when not in use. All hot tub information is listed in our rental agreement and we ask that all guidelines are followed.
PROPER BEHAVIOR FOR MOUNTAINSIDE RENTALS
When renting in the private community, “Coolfont Mountainside" please note the following rules and regs associated with the community. Any complaints or issues reported with any of the following below will result in being charged accordingly.
*Noise- quiet hours are from 8:00PM until 8:00AM. We ask that you are mindful of other cabins and guests especially after dark. Occupancy and use of premises shall not disturb or offend neighbors or residents. Please be mindful of neighboring cabins with noise especially after dark. Loud parties, excessive speeding, excessive noise and/or disruptive behavior, discharging of Firearms, BB, Pellet or Paintball Guns.
*Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the grounds and in the event of fireworks being used in the community, you will be required to vacate the property without a refund and will be fined accordingly.
*Outdoor Firepits- No fires are to be started with out being inside proper fire-pits with a fire resistant lid on the fire at all times and in accordance with CMA guidelines and regs. If the property rented does not have a proper fire-pit, outdoor fire is not permitted. Open fires will result in a min of $500 fine
*Lights- Exterior lights must be turned off by 11:00 pm.
*Vehicles- absolutely no ATV’s are to be ridden in the community, RV’s/campers are not to be parked in the driveways and no more than 4 vehicles are permitted in the driveways (overflowed parking is Available, please contact in advance for information)
Guest(s) will bag and properly dispose of all of their trash including recycling items. All trash/recycling items must be bagged in appropriate (13 gallon bags or larger) trash bags and placed in proper outdoor locations prior to departure. No small bags, pet bags, or grocery bags are to be left in trash bin.
Failure to properly bag (kitchen size bags or larger only) and remove all garbage/recyclables from the cabin will result in assessment of additional charges not less than $200.00.
The trash bin is located off the porch to the left of the driveway. Trash bin must have lid shut and secured after each use to ensure animal damage/destruction doesn’t occur.
