Property is close to Crane Creek Vineyards who host live music events and wine tastings.
The warm and comfy atmosphere this chalet gives you will be memories that last a lifetime! See the Christmas pics and picture yourselves around the fire or outside around the blazing fire pit for the sunset and sipping on the wine you bought at the vineyard!
There is a pool table in the game room area downstairs if you choose to indulge.

Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (20-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

We love the #lakelife around here as well as the majestic mountains. So much to do and see right in town. We have a handy Welcome Book in the house full of dining options, Things to Do, available shopping, hiking, waterfall. and hiking trails. ! There is an abundance of wineries with live music events, and just a short 25 min drive to Helen for tubing or zip lining.

There are several excellent boat rental places in the area! We use Lake Chatuge Marine, Young Harris Water Sports, Boundary Waters... The fellas will help you out! All kinds of water toys too like jet skis, standup paddle boards and kayaks.

Hike or drive to the apex of Bell Mountain, which overlooks Lake Chatuge below and provides picturesque mountain views. Shooting Creek Overlook is breathtaking. Visit Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Jackrabbit Mountain and Chatuge Dam. Both Towns County (Hiawassee GA) and Clay County (Hayesville NC) have super parks and beaches. Trailheads of the Appalachian Trail, which spans from Georgia to Maine, are less than 10 miles from this home.

Vaulted family room with floor-to-ceiling windows, the kitchen is open the FR and dining area with a cozy gas fireplace with stone hearth. TV.

Dining Table seats 6. Fully equipped Kitchen with dishes, pots and pans... All the usuals PLUS tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig and drip coffee maker, Ninja blender, microwave, crock pot.

The balcony will quickly become the busiest part of the home with its expansive mountain views. Gas grill.
Or, sit out by the firepit and plan out your next adventure.

Lower level has 2 bedrooms, living area , and a game room that has a TV. Pool table. Board games, pub table and a wet bar. Downstairs also has a walk-out terrace with covered patio also with views of the mountains.

House Rules

All trash must be in bags.
When checking out...
1) Leave used towels in the tub or shower.
2) Used beds should be left unmade.
3) Wash dishes, or if applicable, load dishes in dishwasher and turn on.
4) Adjust temp settings. AC to 78* in summer. HEAT to 60* in winter.
5) Put all trash in bags in can outside.
6) Remove any opened food items from the frig.
7) If you moved any furniture, inside or outside, put it back.
8) Turn off lights, ceiling fans, TV...
9) Make sure all doors are locked and key is returned where you got it.
