San Marco is a two bedroom beautifully presented family-friendly apartment in Cliftonville, and is just a few minutes walk to Walpole Bay & 15 mins from Margate train station. This recently refurbished fully equipped stylish apartment is the perfect base to explore Thanet's coastline, stunning bays and award-winning beaches.

On your doorstep is Cliftonville's main High Street, with a great selection of shops, cafe's, bars and restaurants. Just a 15 minute walk along the promenade is iconic Margate - a timeless seaside holiday town, combining old world charm with 21st Century culture with so much to see and do. For a start, you can visit iconic Margate sites such as the Turner Contemporary Gallery, Dreamland Heritage Theme Park, Margate Caves, or the Shell Grotto. If you're looking for traditional seaside fun and entertainment, Margate Main Sands has 200 meters of long sandy beach, a tidal pool, children's rides and amusement arcades. Margate's Old Town is a delight to browse, with specialty shops and contemporary art galleries, vintage and hip bric-a-brac stores lining the cobbled lanes around Market Place. Micro pubs, cafés, quality restaurants and traditional fish-and-chip shops overlook Margate Sands. The Harbour Arm also has a great selection of places to eat, drink, view art or look out at the famous Turner skyline.


The charming seaside towns of Ramsgate and Broadstairs are just 10-15 minutes away by car, and the historic towns of Whitstable and Sandwich and the City of Canterbury are around 30 minutes away.

San Marco has been stylishly renovated and is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The large original front bay window allows the front room to be full of afternoon light, winter and summer, and chic copper radiators throughout the apartment ensure you will be warm and cozy whatever the weather.

Open Plan Living
The main living area at the apartment offers open plan living. Here you will find a comfortable seating area, café-style dining for 4, and a smart TV with a Netflix account included. The fully equipped kitchenette provides everything you need to cook up a storm, plus there is an integrated dishwasher and large fridge-freezer. Shuttered French doors lead out to a small private patio area with bistro table and chairs.

Bedrooms
The light and airy master bedroom has a double bed and mirrored hanging cupboards. Comfortable seating for two by the bay window gives alternative daytime space for you to relax and enjoy the light streaming through the white shutters with a coffee and a good book. The double bench is also designed to increase the seating options.

The second smaller bedroom has a cleverly designed bunkbed with a retractable desk. The standard-size single mattresses make it perfect for adults or children. The window looks onto the bamboo in the private courtyard, and the white shutters allow as much morning light in as desired. There is a travel cot in the apartment (guests will need to bring their own bedding for this).

Bathroom
The recently refitted fully-tiled bathroom has a good-sized double-headed shower with abundant hot water, a modern toilet and basin, and a heated towel rail and radiator unit for a luxury experience.

The apartment also has a washer-dryer and free Wi-Fi, ironing equipment and a hairdryer.
There is free parking in the quiet, wide road and also in parallel streets

House Rules

✓ No parties or events, no outside visitors, no overnight guest
without previous approval.
✓ No smoking inside the property. Please use ashtrays provided
outside.
✓ Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property.
✓ No pets unless stated otherwise in property listing.
✓ No loud music (or loud noise) after 10pm.
✓ Return all keys to lockbox at the end of you stay and scramble
lockbox code.
✓ Please separate waste and recycling (if applicable) - Guidance
is given in the welcome guide prior to your stay.
✓ Only use towels inside the property, not for beach use.
✓ Please report any damages or maintenance issues by the end
of your stay.


Cancellation Policy

Guests may cancel until 5 days before check-in for a full refund

If the reservation is canceled less than 5 days before check-in, host will retain 50% of the total booking charges.

If the reservation is canceled or shortened during the stay, hosts will retain the booking charges for each night guest stayed, plus 1 additional night, plus 50% of the booking charges for the remaining nights (Ex., if a guest has a 7 night reservation with total charges of $700, but has to cancel after 2 nights, the host will retain $200 for the 2 nights guest stayed, plus $100 for one additional night, plus $200, for a total of $500.)

Apartment with accessibility issues
Nice, main bedroom with good natural light however the natural light in the living space and second bedroom was limited. A clean property however it was one which was extremely difficult to access due to a broken lock on the front door to the apartment which resulted in delays in us being able to access the property on arrival, only resolved by a helpful neighbour. Raised the issue with the management company who disappointingly weren’t helpful and wouldn’t fix it whilst we were staying.
