When you book this house, you do so with the understanding that scheduled maintenance may happen during your visit (landscaper, hot tub guy etc)
Park on the driveway only, not on the lawn, sand, or shared road.
Hiding damage leads to extra charges. The cleaning process slows to a crawl once we discover unreported damage. Now we have to double check the whole house for damage and missing items.
Remember, this is someone's home. Please treat it in the fashion you would want others to treat yours.

There is a dog bed available for use, so please don't use human beds or blankets (upstairs by the deck slider)
No dogs on the furniture (fyi, claws can leave obvious scuff marks)
FYI the screen room has large custom screens that are expensive to replace. They are not claw friendly.
Dog dishes are in the cabinet under the prep sink.
If washing is needed, please use the outdoor shower.
Do not leave dogs unattended. If you leave the house, please bring your dog or place them in a kennel.
Outside
Please pick up any poop your dog(s) deposits in the yard.
Do not let your dog outside and then allow him to continuously bark.

| Beautifully constructed cabin absolutely bursting with amenities, thoughtful details, and FUN. I have never stayed in a rental that was so intentionally put together for the comfort and luxury of the renter. Favorite parts include the insanely well stocked kitchen with high end appliances, huge hot tub under a lovely pergola with flowering hanging baskets, huge comfortable beds with cloud like bedding/pillows, a custom arcade machine with literally every arcade game ever made (hello nostalgia), full corn hole court with countless other games, probably 150 DVDs.... I could go on and on. Plus, the cabin is nestled on a very quiet street to the north of Long Beach - away from the crowds, a quick 6 min walk to the beach. Perfect combination of quiet, fun, and indulgent luxury! One specific note for renters with little kids: we stayed here with 2 babies both under 1 year old who tend to go down for naps screaming. I was nervous about noise, babies waking babies, light control for naps, etc. We had no issues - shockingly good sound control, excellent room darkening shades. Everyone slept great!! We will be back if not to Lewis, then to another of Toby's beautiful, thoughtful properties. | |

Absolutely beautiful private spot with easy parking & a short walk to the beach. The home & location are even more stunning in person. There is plenty reason to stay at the house & cook with the amazing appliances & kitchen layout but you’re still a quick drive into the main strip of Long Beach where there are some great restaurants as well. There are so many amazing touches to the home from decorations, lighting, appliances, games, etc. I’ve never commented on a shower, toilet or bed before but this home had it all, extremely comfortable & beautiful amenities. The home has everything labeled so things are easy to find & put back. We absolutely loved the arcade console that Toby built - so much fun to play some games you grew up with that are no longer available! Will absolutely be looking at any of Tobys locations for our next trip up to WA! |

Specifically, we were looking for a place that we could really get refreshed and restored (mentally, physically, spiritually, relationally) after a very stressful first half of the year. We had our hopes set high based on the pictures and the Lewis Cabin superseded all our expectations. Our family is blended, we have an older teenager and a 5 year old and all 4 of us felt like the house met each persons needs individually and for our family as a whole. Kitchen, amazing. There is so much to do at this house.Yard games, board games, multiple gaming systems, arcade games, hot tub, out door bath tub…all centered around relaxation and connection. My favorite was the sound of the guitar in the great room; fantastic acoustics. We drove to the beach each day (2 min drive) and loved being able to drive our car right down on the beach, cruising at the sunset. I loved this place. Core memory box checked for sure for all of us. The house felt comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen was fully outfitted and made you want to prepare food there. Everything was thoroughly labeled and laid out in a way that made preparing meals easy and stress free. The outdoor area was immaculate and very enjoyable to relax in. Loved the screened in dining area and our dogs liked being able to take naps there. The beach was just a short walk, and it was great laying out in the grass to make sure we got all the sand off before going inside. I would recommend bringing very comfy shoes. The floors are sealed concrete and could make your feet tired if you go barefoot the entire time. The dog beds were a huge hit, we brought our own and the dogs seemed to like the beds that were provided even better. |

We really loved the outdoor area and the screened in patio. My husband enjoyed the vast array of coffee makers. While Long Beach is not really our cup of tea, we chose this location not for the beach but for the house and all that it has to offer. Nearly all of our time during Thanksgiving week was spent at the house since it provided all that we needed. The kitchen is truly amazing and has a wide variety of amenities which served all of our needs and then some. The architecture of the house is stunning and you can really tell how much thought went into its design. The beds are extremely comfortable, the hot tub is clean and well cared for and the arcade games were a wonderful surprise! Thank you for a very memorable Thanksgiving trip that we will surly never forget! |

Not enough words to describe how AMAZING our stay at the Lewis property was. So much thought, detail, and craft put into EVERY inch of the place. Spent hours staring at the craftsmanship of the house (amazing light, not a bad board or misplaced piece of craftsmanship anywhere). Purred at the EXTENSIVE amount of kitchen appliances and glassware (I mean -- it's MASSIVE). My inner child had a serious geek fest over the custom made (and lovingly detailed) arcade game that had thousands of titles including some of my (very dated) faves like Tron, Spy Hunter, and GALAGA! The biggest set physical games and puzzles you'll see outside a museum. And when you run out of energy counting All the Things this house has, a lovely wind-down in the hot tub or OUTDOOR BATH is in order. Oh yeah, the ocean is a reasonably short walk away too if that's your thing (which it was for us, of course). Sunrise and sunset walks with our pup was a great way to bookend each day we stayed at Lewis. Simply put: we were spoiled by this place and so very lucky to have found it and have a great host in Toby. Can't recommend the property of him enough. Can't wait to return. |

This was a very nice little cabin to stay in. We really enjoyed all of the amenities within the property, and the location was nice. The indirect lighting was especially nice while enjoying a movie, either in the livingroom or the bedroom. The large dual head walk-in shower on the main floor was especially nice for us, with my wife having limited mobility. There were only a few downsides. I did not realize that all of the bedding was down when I reviewed and booked this location. My wife has allergies to feathers, and this posed a bit of a problem for us when we arrived. We were able to make things work, but you may consider changing to hypo-allergenic bedding, or making the fact that there is down in the cabin more prominent in the listing. The bed was also uncomfortable, even with the down topper. The only other downside was the construction going on at the property. Thank you for having this nice little getaway place listed. We would definitely consider staying again, knowing what we would have to do to accommodate some of the downsides. Response: The listing description has a detailed breakdown of all the bedding under the heading “bedding,” I’m sorry you missed this. The mattresses are Tempur-pedic the number one consumer rated mattress. Many people contact me after their stay to comment about how much they loved the bed. Im sorry this was not your experience. This cabin was top of the line in everything! The kitchen had every utensil, bowl and pot you would ever need. We didn’t cook much there but if you wanted to, it was lacking nothing. We don’t drink alcohol so we would have liked more coffee/tea mugs and water glasses rather than all the other beverage vessels. We got there after dark so it was a little difficult to find where to turn off the main road. Really the only complaint we had was it was so cold and took a full 24 hours for it to warm up the 10 degrees to 72! The heat is in the concrete floors and those just do not warm fast. Toby went above and beyond by having a Christmas tree there for us by the fireplace-so cozy! |

The detail he gave in the digital guidebook was nothing Ive ever seen before, it was so great. Everything was of the highest quality as well, the kitchen had every appliance ever made haha. Our dog loved running on the beach, which was pretty private as well. He also has some history behind his property there which was really cool as well. If you want to stay in a place where the owner goes above and beyond as to what he provides, this is it. I definitely recommend this place for everyone, you will be very impressed. | |

This was the most beautiful rental we have ever stayed in. This cabin has everything you could possibly need and everything is top quality. The beds are incredible (like sleeping on a cloud). We loved the espresso machine. so many games and fun things to do around the cabin. We also loved how organized and clean everything was. The beach is just a short walk away too! I highly recommend spending more than two nights here. Two nights is not enough!! Toby the owner is great to work with! Looking forward to staying in more of Toby’s rentals. |

First time booker for this kind of vacation/service The property, the amenities, the attention to detail - literally everything has been thought about to ensure your stay is care free, relaxing and enjoyable. | My husband and I had a lovely stay at this cabin. It was very clean. The grounds are meticulously landscaped. The inside has an industrial and open concept with high-end appliances. We didn’t do much cooking but the the kitchen is extremely well-stocked and organized which I love. Everything is clearly labeled. If you like order, this is your place! The decorations and fixtures throughout the cabin are sophisticated and tasteful. The bathrooms are gorgeous, spacious and the downstairs toilet is super high-tech. If you’ve never tried a fancy bidet this is your chance ha ha. The cabin is in a quiet setting on a private road conveniently located close to downtown Long Beach. We enjoyed driving into town for food and to see the beach. We also really liked the hot tub. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom but the upstairs bedroom has a stunning view of the downstairs through a glass wall and there are large windows throughout the whole cabin. Even though there’s no central AC it was very cool just keeping the doors next to the TV room open (there is a permanent screen door there to keep out insects). Furniture was also nice and very comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into planning and constructing this cabin. The owner Toby is a very responsive host. He was very easy to communicate with. I would recommend this place to any small family, couple or pair of couples who want to bring their pets with them on vacation. | |

| The Lewis house is a gorgeous home close to downtown Long Beach but you feel as if you far away from the busyness. The house it self is full of gorgeous woodwork and handmade cabinets, built ins etc. We had fun cooking most of our meals in this well thought out kitchen. The kitchen has almost any tool, small appliance, dish or glassware you need. All the leather furniture kept us on edge for fear of something happening to it as we are an active bunch but beautiful nonetheless. The in-laws and us enjoyed our stay! | |
