Space
Eagle’s View is nestled on a 25 acre, 500 foot lake front property in the heart of Lake Superior's south shore. From the moment you start down the half mile drive through the woods you’ll begin to unwind. You'll enjoy complete privacy, stunning lake views, as well as the beauty and serenity of nature.
The home features an open-plan lower level with a formal dining area, a fully-outfitted kitchen with breakfast bar, and a wood burning fireplace that is anchored by a comfortable sectional sofa. The first-floor private bedroom has a full firm bed.
The lofted upper level has two bedrooms (one small bedroom with a full mattress, and larger bedroom with one queen bed and one full bed). The upstairs living room has another sectional and full bed, opening onto the upper deck with stunning lake vistas.
The “bonus” room at Eagle’s View is delightful: the south shore version of a cabana: a free-standing three season screened in porch that allows you to be surrounded by nature. It holds a full-size futon, two side chairs, and an ottoman. It’s perfect for a couple seeking privacy from the rest of the group, a kid’s retreat, or an opportunity to enjoy a book or a board game during a rainy afternoon. The lower level’s wrap around deck has a grill, picnic table and hammock.
Eagle’s View sits high above the shoreline. A steep set of stairs descends to the lake. We advise against their use. There are a number of places in Herbster and Port Wing which offer superb beach combing and swimming opportunities.
There is no television at the cabin, leaving no distraction from what a vacation on the south shore should be about: enjoying the beauty of the lake and surrounding area, company of friends and family, and restorative nature of this so special part of the country.
