THE SEASONS AND THE WORKING FARM
This small working farm has just a handful of friendly staff who you will see working the land or in the mill-
Come in the spring and witness the fruit trees in blossom and buttercups meadows, the vines are young and even the olive trees have small flowers.
The fruit on the tree is almost all ripe and the vegetable garden is flourishing, and fresh herbs are ready to pick. This is also a time when the surrounding sunflower fields will be in full bloom.
If you visit in September, you can pick fresh figs from the trees and see the harvest of the grapes and taste the new wine.
From OCTOBER to DECEMBER the olive harvest is in full swing, and you can witness the pressing of olives into oil. This is the farm's busiest period where you will witness local people bringing their olives to the press. This can be an exciting time to see the production of olive oil however, this can also be a time when the noise of the mill can carry on until quite late into the night. So, it’s not an ideal time to visit if you like to get to bed early, there may be a possibility that we will not take booking during this period – but we do have other village properties available just a short walk away! During NOVEMBER the kiwis are ripe and are harvested.
