Welcome to Pitzer-Properties! We have 7 vacation homes in the Port St Joe area and would love for you to check us out!

Gypsy Cottage is our one and only tiny house at the beach! With a whopping 475 sq ft it is filled with everything a home needs for comfort. It has a full kitchen, queen bedroom, pullout couch in living room with smart TV. Outdoor seating in the courtyard makes for nice evenings outside. On the premises we have a full laundry room with detergent, fire pit, corn hole and fish cleaning station.

Interaction

Guests are encouraged to self check in with our smartlocks and can communicate with us via phone and text. We do have other units on the property so guests may occasionally interact with other guests, but not required.

Neighborhood

When you are ready to venture out, visit nearby Port St. Joe for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Downtown offers cute shops along Reid Avenue, many restaurants and grocery stores. Don't forget to check out the historical Lighthouse and Sea Turtle Museum. We love our sea turtles! Mexico Beach is just a few miles away and offers restaurants and shops. For an adventure, take a ride to Cape San Blas and visit St. Joseph Peninsula State Park for access to the beach and the bay. It offers natural hiking trails, miles of untouched beaches and access to launch kayaks or paddle boards. For an amazing experience, you can horseback ride on the beach from Salinas Park. If you are interested in wildlife and natural beauty, plan a trip over to St. Vincent Island by ferry boat for the day. Hike around the island and explore our native wildlife and foliage. About 30 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River or grab some of the best seafood around! You won't be disappointed! There's so many options to do without crowds or traffic!

Space

The Gypsy Cottage is a small tiny house located on the back part of the property. Easy access from back alley allows for easy parking and entry. The downstairs area consists of the living room and kitchen. The upstairs includes one bedroom and one full bath. The cottage has a picket fence around the area and is pet friendly. There is outdoor seating for your enjoyement.

House Rules

Damage Waiver:
The Damage Waiver is built into your reservation booking total (“Admin Fee”). This fee covers only unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that may have occurred during your stay. Damages must be disclosed to Host before or upon check out of your stay. The fee will pay a maximum benefit of $300. Any damages that exceed $300 will be charged to the credit card on file. NOTE: This is NOT insurance and only applies to ACCIDENTAL damages. Any damages that either exceed $300, are not disclosed prior to check out, or are deemed intentional, will be charged to the credit card on file.

Please pay the pet fee while booking. $100 per visit. 2 dogs max.
We love our four-legged babies here at The Gypsy Cottage but please adhere to the follow requests: No dogs on the beds. There is a dog bed provided as well as a cover for the couch. We have also included a small basket of dog supplies that you are welcome to use if needed. We ask that you do not use any of the white towels on the dogs. In the basket you should find some older towels that we use for dog clean up. Please keep your dog on a leash as there may be other guests with their furry babies at one of the other units. If staying longer than 2 days we ask that you sweep regularly to stay ahead of the dog hair. And always please pick up any poop! Thanks!

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
If you cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in, you’ll be charged 50% for all nights.
If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you’ll be charged 100% for all nights.
If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you’ll be charged 100% for all nights.
All VRBO and direct booking cancelations regardless of time frame will incur the credit card fees associated with the refund
Guests can also receive a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of booking, if the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in again minus the credit card fees.
