Todd & Andy McKee, The McKee Brothers, own and operate Eagle Cap Farms which is part of Eagle Cap Vacation Rentals. They both live in Wallowa County, near Joseph and are available to be onsite quickly if a need arises.

Neighborhood

Eagle Cap Farms is located about 1 mile off of highway 82 between Enterprise and Joseph at the end of a gravel road. The nearest home on the gravel road is about 3/4 of a mile away. The house provides the solitude of not being too close to other houses and being on a large piece of property while still being 10 minutes or less from Joseph or Enterprise.

Access

This is a pet-friendly home, but we do have policies to adhere to to ensure that we can continue to offer this amazing benefit to future guests. Please inform us at the time of booking if you will be bringing a pet. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the property should you fail to do this. There is a $25 nightly fee per dog (ESA animals included) that will be collected prior to check-in. This is refundable should your pet no longer be accompanying you after the fee is paid.

Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture, nor are they allowed to be left unattended in the unit unsupervised.

☆☆ BEDROOM ☆☆

Up a short flight of stairs to the sleeping mezzanine. A comfortable king size bed awaits in a spacious space with clothing storage and a view of the main level.

☆☆ BATHROOM ☆☆

A large bathroom with tile floors and a rain shower inside a large stand up tiled shower. A large sink and lit mirror with an additional counter space and lit mirror provides more than enough space for make up application.

☆☆ KITCHEN, LOUNGE & DINING ☆☆

The kitchen is well appointed. New appliances and new quartz countertops provide ample of food prep space. Appliances such as a Keurig coffee maker, blender and toaster help make the kitchen meet every guests needs. 16 spices and olive oil ensure your meals will be full of flavor. Enjoy eating on our locally hand made plates, bowls and coffee cups. The kitchen opens into a living room space that provides a comfortable leather sofa and two large leather chairs facing a large HD flat screen smart TV.

☆☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆☆

The outdoor space is amazing. A large fenced in yard with grass and a concrete patio with Adirondack chairs to sit and watch the Eagle Caps. From the patio watch the plentiful deer as well as the occasional coyote or elk as well as the plentiful birds of prey including owls near dusk. Enjoy the Wallowa River on the back of the property as well as all of our animals on the farm including aplacas, Nigerian pigmy goats and chickens.

Notes

- We are proud to be dog friendly. We ask that you keep your pups on leash as our alpacas and chickens are easily scared.
- Feel free to go see our animals.
- There is a full RV hook up right next to the house that can be added to your reservation for an extra $65 a night.
- Please note that this is a working farm. Daily someone will be on the property to take care of the animals etc. However you will have full exclusive use of the fenced yard and home (except once a week when the lawn is mowed).
- Currently between the house and the river we are digging a pond. Some days there will be equipment digging more of the pond out and / or trucks taking some of the excavated materials off property. When guests are present we will limit pond work to Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- There is an RV on the property on the other side of one of our barns for our caretaker.

Check in is allowed any time after 3:00 pm and Checkout is required no later than 11:00 am. We are often able to offer early check in up to 2 hours for a fee of $15/hour and late check out up to 2 hours for $15/hour. if you would like to arrange for early check in and/or late check out, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request

Pet Policies  
-We love pets! We want to remain pet friendly. Please follow our pet policies so we are able to continue offering this benefit to all of our guests.  
- Please inform us at the time of booking if you will bring your pet or pets
- The pet fee is 25/per night for each pet including ESA animals
- We will send you a charge request at the time of booking for the pet fee.
- If for some reason your pet doesn't accompany you after you pay the pet fee, we will refund it to you in full.
- Please keep pets off the furniture.
- No pets left alone uncrated or left outside unattended.
- If you bring pets onto the property without informing us in advance and paying the pet fee, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the property.

Please note that all cancelations are required to pay a 5% processing fee.
-To receive a full refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in

-If guests cancel less than 7 days before check-in, they will not receive a refund
- Guests can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in

The pictures and listing are all 100% correct and more. You will be blown away with a beautiful mountain getaway. The location is on a farm next to the Wallowa River and the Mountain views are absolutely incredible. This place has everything you need. My wife and i spent our 9th year anniversary here. We usually come to Joseph every other year. We rode the tram and did the Joseph branch railroad riders excursion to Enterprise. The farm has chickens and the most friendliest alpacas. The alpacas will eat outta your hand. The brown one named Pepsi and the white one were a joy to watch on the property. There was plenty of deer roaming around, geese flying overhead and quail running down the road. My wife loved the beautiful sunrise every morning and we enjoyed every sunset while bbq on the Traeger.
We met the super nice owner Todd and his children. Unbelievable hospitality. I could go on and on. But i dont want to give away to much information on our new secret Joseph getaway. Once you stay here you will not want to stay anywhere else in the Wallowa valley. Todd and his brother Andy have other locations to stay in the Wallowa Valley and im sure these other locations are just as good as our experience. They are currently redoing a hotel in Enterprise. Please check out their other locations ....you will not be disappointed...👍

This lovely country cabin exceeded our expectations. Up to date, clean and comfortable, but the outdoor space was the best. Wallowa mountains just out the back door, tons of wildlife (saw 4 nice bucks), and plush green fenced yard to hang out in. A million stars to see after dark.

Amazing accommodations, responsive team, beautiful sunsets, ***massive rock quarry 1 meter off back yard and work started 6:30am on a Wednesday.
Summary:
Pregnant partner and I were wanting to escape the bustle/construction near our house in Portland and book a secluded Airbnb away from civilization before birth. Driving in from a distance it looked perfect. Upon pulling into the driveway you see a massive rock quarry just a meter or two off the back porch that drops 5-10 meters down complete with a big excavator, rock sifter, and a dump truck all of which are between the home and the Mountain View. We both let out a “ahhh what the F”, truly felt like we left the construction behind to pick the only Airbnb that sits on top of another one (work started 6:30am on a Wednesday, very loud, dog went nuts).
We decided to focus on the positives, excellent interior accommodations (beautiful house) and nearby activities. Team is very responsive! Quarry may be fun for kids

We appreciate all feedback provided by guests, although it is always disappointing to receive a non 5-star review. It's important to note that a rock quarry does not exist at our farm, as confirmed by the absence of such mentions in any of our other numerous positive reviews we have received. We also encourage guests to review our gallery of pictures, which clearly show that the pond we are constructing does not obstruct the stunning mountain views. In our pre-arrival communications, we make sure to inform guests about the unique experience of staying on a working farm, including the possibility of encountering individuals involved in farm tasks. Despite sharing this information multiple times with the guest, they did not review it beforehand. In regard to their concern about noise, we addressed it promptly. Although heavy machinery was only operational for a few minutes one morning during their stay, we provided a $50 refund as a gesture of goodwill. If you get the opportunity to rent this delightful romantic get away, take it!!! This magical property is well represented by the photos of it. A vast expanse of the Wallowa Mountains rises through the cathedral windows of the living room. We spent every evening in comfortable Adirondack chairs on the patio watching the patterns of light on the mountains shift as the sun set in the west. The kitchen is modern and well-appointed, the bed in the sleeping loft is large and comfortable and the books left by the owners were so good we bought several at the Mercantile in downtown Joseph. The hosts are very gracious and offered many useful recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Don't miss the beautiful grove of trees with more Adirondacks next to the Wallowa River (really a creek in this location) ... down the hill, through the grass and into the woods - an incredibly idyllic setting in the sunset gloaming. One of our all-time favorite AirBnBs.

Fur Family Vacation
My husband, myself, and our 2 large breed dogs were welcomed at the Eagle Cap Farms property. We enjoyed everything. We all felt like we were at a home away from home! Our girls loved the farm animals (we have chickens at home) and the special items they provide for pets. It’s not easy to find a rental that allows our types of dogs. But the owners loved them. They checked in with us and our needs. We had the best weather and they provided us with all the comforts needed to the weather! The home at Eagle Cap was just beautiful, and the view was spectacular. Perfect for a weekend away. They thought of ever detail from a makeup towel to a few bags of oatmeal and hot cocoa for the people who get there late without groceries, and we were those people. The house itself was so clean and beautifully done. It was simplistic but had everything we could need. The location was beautiful and private. There was never a moment we didn't have deer in most directions. The farm animals were so fun and that food was provided to give them, was just charming. This is our new mountain getaway. Can't say enough amazing things about this beautiful farm home!! It was exactly the private, gorgeous weekend away we were hoping for!! The property is more beautiful than the photos and the home itself was the perfect size for me and my fiance, and our two dogs. Finding the property, and checking in were seamless. It is located very close to town which was ideal. They have so many thoughtful touches, from dog treats, to a dog bed and food to feed to alpacas. This was probably one of the most beautiful stays we've had as my wife and I traveled across the country. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the home itself is modernized. Honestly, I would like to build a place just like this to live in. We also were able to feed the animals that live on the property which made the stay even more memorable. Amazing escape on a secluded farm. Very peaceful and a great place to disconnect. Close to both Joseph and Enterprise for great food options. Plenty of outdoor options nearby as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin for people looking to unplug.

Eagle Cap Farms is indeed magic!
Quiet, beautiful surroundings with incredible views of the Eagle Cap mountains and open pastures and fields. I couldn't have been more comfortable with the house, clean, bright, upscale and a culinary kitchen for cooking delicious meals! ***** all the way! The chickens, goats and alpacas were very curious critters and a delight to watch. Located close to both friendly towns of Enterprise and Joseph, I surely hope to return soon!

Truly unique property in a beautiful setting-the amount of wildlife (whitetail bucks outside the window, Scaup in the pond below, redtails and Swainson’s hawks flying overhead) and sense of seclusion were great. A nice warm place to come back to after spending time out in the cold and mountains-thank you!

WE LOVED IT!!! My wife and I stayed 5 nights. The location is awesome with great views of the mountains and very private. It was very clean, kitchen was very well stocked, the bed was very comfortable, and did I mention the views? Oh...and wait until you see the fireplace, it's a great feature in this house. If you're coming to Joseph you have to stay here. The location is amazing with privacy and killer views. The house design and layout was so well done, you won't want to leave. We like to cook and the kitchen was stocked with great pots/pans and nice sharp knives. We ate breakfast and dinner looking out the huge windows with snow capped mountains in front of us. I could go on-and-on... We loved our visit and will be returning.

Dream Come True
We spent 5 incredible days on the Eagle Cap Farm. The home decor is tasteful, warm and welcoming. Little touches made big impacts...such as doggy treats waiting in a container along with popcorn and other people goodies. The view of the mountain range was amazing. The home provided exactly the experience we were seeking. As an avid walker, I appreciated being able to roam the property and walk briskly on the entry road with our dog. We enjoyed visiting the farm animals and watching deer graze near by. On day two, a beautiful snowfall made the property a winter wonderland. Todd showed up early with a snow shovel and cleared our walk...one of several times that the hosts, Todd and Andy were quickly responsive to a question or need. I am not dreaming of a white Christmas, but am dreaming of a return visit when the lilac tree blooms.

This is a wonderful, well-conceived new construction right between Joseph and Enterprise. It’s an ideal home base for exploring the Wallowas for a few days. Destination EV charging was a great extra. Eagle Cap is super responsive.
