There are no strangers in Des Plaines, at least not for long. The city prides itself on being a friendly and welcoming place for newcomers as well as lifelong residents.

Metropolitan Square, a mixed-use center, is a block away from the city’s Metra station with convenient transportation to downtown Chicago on the Union Pacific Northwest Line. The Square includes 135 condominiums and lofts near local eateries as well as a large grocery store and more than 80,000 square feet of retail and office space.

The Des Plaines Park District offers numerous recreational facilities from water slides, swimming pools, and ice skating to 18-hole golf courses, bike trails, and boating. The city has 37 parks and more than 300 recreational programs and events.

This is a quiet neighborhood and we want to keep the friendship with our neighbors. Around 11 p.m is considered quiet hours. We are aware of and approve of those times guests need to come in after 11 p.m.

House Rules

House Rules: 1. Noise Levels This is a residential community, so guests must be respectful of noise levels at all times, especially after 11 PM and before 8 AM. 2. No illegal activity at any time. 3. No smoking at any time in the unit. You may smoke outside, but 15 feet away from all exit doors please. 4. Booking guests must be at least 21 years of age. Bookings with persons under the age of 21 will require special approval by the host. 5. This property is not suitable for wild bachelor or bachelorette parties. It is ok to be a group of bachelors or bachelorettes, but you must be respectful of noise levels at all times. 10 people are the maximum number of people that can be in the unit or on the property at all times 6. No persons may return back to the unit after going out to bars/clubs/etc., that are not registered in advance. This is not the place to have impromptu guests. 7. If an item is lost, there will be a fee $25.00 plus mail postage charged for its return. Lost Key Will Be A $25.00 Fee. 8. CLEAN UP: It is necessary to be respectful of the housekeeper. Any party or group that does not adhere to this rule will be subject to up to double the cleaning fee. It is requested that you don't leave an inordinate amount of work for the housekeeper. It is requested that you do the following: Please place towels in one pile in bathroom. The housekeeper's job is to sanitize all surfaces and floors, do the laundry, make new beds, and replace all supplies. That is what your cleaning fee covers. It does not cover cleaning up after several people being sloppy for several days, including dishes and an inordinate amount of picking up and wiping spills, etc.; it is just not reasonable to clean up after that in a reasonable time. It is important to understand that to have a unit properly turned over in a timely manner, a few things done by you to get the project rolling is very important in order to have the unit ready in time for the next check-in. This is what the previous guests did for you to help us get the unit ready for you in time.
