Amazing Lake Superior Views & Easy Walking Access to All Bayfield Has to Offer
This charming condo has everything you could want in your Bayfield getaway and more! This second floor (top floor) studio condo unit features panoramic lake views, a crisp & modern interior, new gas fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen, and even a private deck overlooking the lake (perfect for dining al fresco or enjoying a sunset cocktail). There's even a sandy beach for swimming literally steps from the condo!
The condo is located an easy walk to Bayfield's myriad charming shops & restaurants as well as the ferry to Madeline Island. It's also a perfect jumping off point to all of the incredible things to see & do throughout the greater Chequamegon Bay area.
One of our favorite features is the wonderful community garden that is adjacent to the condo building. There's few better places in the warmer months to enjoy a book or just take in the gorgeous flowers & plants in this "secret garden" setting.
Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties all along Lake Superior's South Shore. We live nearby and is available whenever needed to assist our guests. Our passion is ensuring guests experience the magic of what we feel is one of the most amazing places in the world.
Located on the beach right in downtown Bayfield. You can walk to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums. And yet the condo is set far enough away from the main drag to not feel like you're too in the middle of everything.
One parking space per unit is provided in the parking lot. Street parking is also readily available except during the fall Applefest celebration.
Bayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. We are just a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield.
The following shuttles and ferries are also accessible on foot from Reiten Boatyard:
- The Madeline Island Ferry will take you out to Madeline Island and runs regularly during the late spring, summer, fall, and much of the winter.
- The BART Bus runs regularly from through Bayfield and around Chequamegon Bay for a modest fee.
- Big Top Chautauqua runs shuttles for most of for their concerts and events.
This is a second level efficiency condominium with outside stairs to the unit. The unit features a very comfy queen-size Murphy bed (let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep!), sofa, dining table & chairs, fully-equipped kitchen, full bath, gas fireplace, and lovely private deck overlooking the lake & beach below.
The unit also features a rarity in the area: air conditioning, as well as high-speed wifi.
Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here!
Walk to downtown shops and restaurants, ferry terminal and recreation center.
Off street parking in lot for one car. Plenty of street parking available, except during Applefest weekend in October. Less than 15 minute drive to Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua, hiking trails, beaches, and more.
Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website.
An EV charging station is located in the parking lot on the corner of Washington Ave. and E. 6th St. in Washburn.
Be aware that sound and vibration travel easily in this building. Please be considerate of your neighbors and keep voices and TV levels down and please walk softly on stairway as well as inside the condo. Guests are to observe quiet hours from 9pm to 9am.
There are 2 picnic tables and 2 weber grills available for use by guests and residents of all units.
Bike racks are also available by the parking lot.
Remove shoes upon entry into condo units.
Please walk softly. Be aware that even light foot traffic can be easily heard in other units. The sound of normal walking, and children running and jumping is readily transferred and can be disruptive to other residents and guests.
Be aware that each unit shares walls & floor/ceiling with others – keep voice & tv volume to a reasonable level and maintain quiet hours of 9pm to 9am.
Smoking (of any tobacco product, including vaping) is not allowed anywhere on the property, but inside and outdoors.
Enjoy the home as much as the owner does but treat it like your own. Enjoy the home, use what you need, but please leave things as you found them.
