Description

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful all-season home on the Rideau River, only 30 mins from the heart of Ottawa and 5 mins to Kemptville. Take in the river view while relaxing inside our Cedar Barrel Sauna. Easily explore neighbouring towns (Manotick, Merrickville) or spend your time on the water from our 60ft dock in the middle of the largest stretch of the Rideau River (46km of open water from Manotick to Burritts Rapids).

Access

Smart lock entrance- no key required!

Plenty of parking available. Requires car or taxi/uber to travel to and from destinations. No local city bus access.

Space

Home includes modern kitchen with top of the line appliances (gas range, oversized fridge, Bosch dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine), renovated main bedroom, and 4-season sunroom with large windows overlooking the water. Warm up indoors by the gas fire place or watch the sunset by the outdoor fire pit along the riverfront. Step into the cedar barrel sauna to take in the spectacular river view, available for guest use all year long.

House sleeps 6: queen bed in main room (2), double bunk plus single in second bedroom (3), and pull out couch in living room (2).

Dock use available in the summer along with canoe, stand up paddleboard (SUP) and life jackets of all sizes.

Ice fish on the river during winter months (equipment and license required).

High speed internet access- use of your streaming service on our TV.

Washer and dryer also available for guest use.

Notes

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we follow an enhanced 5-step cleaning protocol to ensure that our space is not only cleaned, but that all high-touch areas are also sanitized between stays.

House Rules

- Basic tidy of house before checkout (wash dishes, place garbage and recycling in outdoor shed)
- No smoking allowed (cigarettes, cigars, vaping or cannabis)
- No pets allowed
- No events allowed
- Please be respectful of neighbours- noise bylaws in place from 10pm-7am (Noise aware monitors installed in the house)
- Maximum 6 guests allowed overnight

Cancellation Policy

Guests must cancel at least 24 hours before check-in for a full refund, minus an 8% processing fee.
