Description

3 story spacious lake front home with a beach home feel! You can see the lake from every room in this house! Wrap around porches on the first 2 floors and over 300 feet of lakefront to enjoy with a large yard. This property accommodates 24 in beds/pullouts but there is still room for cots/blow up mattresses if you have a larger group that prefers to spread out.
Our Cantina is a screened in area with ping pong, darts, corn hole, and a dual mini basketball. 2-story boat dock on site.

Interaction

You will have contactless check in/out and issued a private door code through RemoteLock. Owners are available by phone or text during your stay.

If you would like to save time and have groceries delivered ahead of time please let us know! You can book directly with Jessica at least 4 hours ahead of your arrival.

Neighborhood

Cedar Creek Lake is the 5th largest lake in Texas. Excellent fishing, boating, 4th of July Air Show, and lots of shops including First Monday Canton Trade Days just 25 minutes away. We are close to town so you won't need to drive 30-45 minutes around the lake if you forgot something.

The Tiki Hut at the marina and Vernon's are popular waterfront restaurants accessible by boat. Our location is just a few minutes to Walmart, Brookshire's and local restaurants.

We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that to complete your booking, you will need to verify your details and ID.

Contactless entry is available through Remote Lock. You will receive your door codes the week before check in.

High speed internet and 3 Smart TV's are located throughout the house. Bring your Netflix, Hulu or other streaming passwords.

Space

The downstairs living space spans over 40 feet wide so you will never feel cramped even with a large group. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances, cookware, dishes and even a coffee bar (so bring your favorite K cups). There is no need to run to the store since the built in ice machine produces lots of ice per day. There is a full size refrigerator stocked with your basic condiments, ground coffee, and a wine rack which includes your first bottle complimentary with your stay. You will find a large pantry to store all your groceries. There is also an extra full size fridge for extra storage of groceries during your stay.

We have one pack and play and one high chair/booster chair on site.

The second floor includes a large master with a remote control fireplace and a spacious bathroom suite. There is a king bed, a cozy nook by the fireplace and two pull out twin sleeper ottomans for extra family members. There are also two other private bedrooms and a full bath on the second story.

On the third floor you will find a giant loft area with sleeping for 14, a flat screen smart TV and games. There is also a screened in porch off of the 3rd floor perfect for watching all the lakeside activities or looking out at the stars. Sleeping arrangements include 3 queen pull out Ashley sofa sleepers on the third floor and 2 twin beds in addition to the two bunk beds with queen beds on bottom and an XL twin on top of each. Every bed has Simmons Plush Top mattresses with sheets and bedding provided. This property accommodates a max of 24 in beds/pullouts but there is still room for cots/blow up mattresses if you have a larger group.

The private boat dock is yours for enjoyment during your stay. There is one boat slip that holds up to a 22 foot boat fully covered and one jet ski slip with lifts if you bring or rent watercraft. Please let us know if you are bringing a boat and need the lift. We will do our best to accommodate if we have time and room to move our boat out for you. Otherwise there are mooring whips and boat cleats for you to tie onto at the dock. There is also an area to clean your fish out on the dock. The over sized upstairs dock area with string lights is another wonderful place to enjoy the panoramic views during your stay. Sunrise and Sunsets over the lake are amazing! We have just installed stairs with a handrail from the dock to the water to make getting in and out of the lake easy for people of all ages without having to climb a narrow slippery ladder.

We have a 22 foot tritoon boat that we rent out on a case by case basis if your group meets our insurance requirements. If you are interested in using this please let us know when you book your reservation. We include a tube and wake board if you are interested in getting out into the open water. If you are bringing your own watercraft, please let us know so we can best accommodate you with details of where to launch and give you water level details.

If you have stayed at this property before, you will find even more reasons to fall in love and visit over and over again! There is also a DVD with a variety of movies available on site.

The property has a new retaining wall with over 300 feet of concrete on top. This is perfect for fishing all along the property. There is also an industrial sized volleyball net with lots of room to play regulation court size volleyball matches. We have a paddle board and 2 kayaks on site that can all be rented for a nominal charge during your stay.

We are within a 5 minute drive to the closest Brookshire's grocery store and a super Walmart for any shopping on the way into town or during your stay. Location is a bonus for this home because you have the benefit of being on an almost private point on the lake with easy access to fast food restaurants such as Chicken Express, Whataburger, Starbucks, Subway and sit down dining like Chili’s. Vernon’s, W354 Upscale dining, China Cafe, Jalapeño Tree or many other local favorites.

Parking: 6 cars if double stacked in the driveway and up to 8 more depending on size on gravel. Please do not park on the street or block neighbors driveways.

This home is perfect for retreats, Indian Princess campouts, family reunions, girl scouts, boy scouts, scrapbook retreats, girls weekends, team bonding outings or just a getaway/staycation just an hour from downtown Dallas. First Monday Trade Days in Canton is only 25 minutes away. We are NOT a wedding venue, so do not try to book our home with this intent.

This home is available for rent with the intent of vacations, family reunions, scouting retreats, church events. If your intent is to have a wild or loud party we ask that you book elsewhere. No teenage/college parties (after prom/formal/graduation, sorority/frat parties) allowed. Please do not instant book or rent on behalf of high schoolers or college kids no matter what the celebration is for. Refunds will NOT be given and you may be removed from the property if there is evidence or complaints by the neighbors that this is going on. No underage drinking or drugs permitted. If your group requires beer bongs and beer pong to have a good time then this is NOT the place for you and we kindly ask you to consider another venue. This is our home and we want guest that will treat it as they would their own.

This is a family friendly area and these rules will be strictly enforced! Booking with the intent to “supervise or chaperone” teen/college events is also prohibited. Please inquire for permission to book if you have any questions.

Transit

Our home is about a one hour drive from DFW so this is a perfect getaway spot. We have a covered boat slip and jet ski slip for your watercraft so you can easily access the water right from our private dock. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing any watercraft so we can tell you where to launch and if possible we can make our slips available to you. We rotate our own watercraft between our rentals so covered space may or may not be available.

House Rules

Welcome to Fortner Pointe! We want to make sure we are communicating expectations clearly with our guests so we appreciate your initialing each house rule and signing that you agree. It is our intent to rent our home for a relaxing vacation for families, reunions, church or scouting retreats. This is by no means meant to be a place for parties.
If you need beer pong or drinking games this is not the house for you.
Failure to follow house rules may result in forfeiture of your deposit.

____ No teenage/college parties (after prom, formals, sorority/frat or graduation parties) or underage drinking on the property. Evidence of this will result in immediate removal from the property and charges filed against the adults providing drugs or alcohol to minors.

____ Primary renter must be at least 25 years of age

____ No smoking or vaping in the house

____ No pets to be brought to the property (inside or out). $500 fine for violation of this policy.

____ No glass bottles or containers near the lake.

____ Bring your own lake towels. Please do not use bath towels outside.

____ Security cameras are in use around the property but are not in use in any private areas of the home such as bedrooms and bathrooms. There are NO hidden cameras in our home

____ Life jackets are provided and any missing will incur a $75 charge per jacket. Please count before and after.

____ Please clean the grill when you are finished. $50 charge for not cleaning

___ No diving from the dock. The water is 5 ft max around the dock. All water activity is at your own risk. Water levels vary seasonally. No refunds for inclement weather.

___ Secure all doors to the property when you are not in the home and upon check out.

___ Notify the owners if there is a change to the number of people staying on site from what was declared at booking. 24 people max on property unless permission granted before arrival.

___ Do not disturb the neighbors. They live here full time as a permanent primary residence. GBC City Ordinance 94.02 defines noise ordinance guidelines which includes 10pm-7am “quiet hours” that may be ticketed if excessive noise is complained about to police

Cancellation Policy

Full Refund if cancelled 60 days in advance. 50% if cancelled 30 days in advance. No refunds within 30 days of stay. All refunds will be charged a finance fee equal to credit card processing fees.
