Interaction:

Living on the mountain and only a five minute walk away, we are available for any and all questions or concerns you may have. Just give us a call.

Neighborhood:

You're in the heart of the beautiful Wasatch mountains. Mount Timpanogas stands tall over Sundance while gorgeous pine trees are everywhere you look. Take a seat next to stream, breathe in the mountain air and relax.

Access:

This entire cabin plus the beautiful deck overlooking the stream are yours to enjoy.

Space:

The Cottage on the Stream sits at the end of Old Bridge Road amidst the tall pine trees, next to the stream overlooking a meadow. How sweet is that? Secluded in the forest, no main road with traffic or sounds of traffic, you have the illusion of being far, far away.

The meadow and the property are big enough to let the kids roam outside and play. Bring along your well behaved canine companion* and everyone have a great play day together. (Read pet guidelines for safety of your pet and compliance with the property and Sundance guidelines).

The Cottage is a comfortable place to stay. The living room has two new Laz-E-Boy power leather recliners plus a very comfortable leather couch, and a couch from the 60s that everyone loves. The wood burning, super efficient fireplace provides the primary heat source and you will enjoy its sights, sounds, heat and warmth without all the work of an open fireplace. Super easy to start your fire and then keep it going. Your wood is provided plus instructions for building your fire.

The kitchen is small but mighty. The kitchen window looks directly out onto the stream and multiple tables allow for kid tables, adult tables, outside tables and rail dining. Coffee maker, citrus juicer, griddle for blueberry pancakes, blender, crock pot, pots and pans, dishes are all provided. (Paper plates also). Spices and pantry essentials are also provided.

The family room has a twin size day bed/trundle for sleeping 2 and a sleeper sofa. This is a great place to watch a movie under the snugglies. A table for eating or playing games, plus a cabinet of books, movies, puzzles and games will keep everyone entertained. Lots of windows let in natural light so you feel like you are living outdoors and the back door leads right to the redwood deck.

Upstairs is amazing. The entire area is devoted to sleeping locations. It is dormitory style (no doors) - see pictures for clarity. The Queen's Space has a queen bed, with a window at the head of the bed overlooking the stream. The middle section is affectionately called the Bedroom of the Six Dwarfs with six twin beds arranged. Six twin beds are arranged so kids and not so little kids can be close enough for midnight whispers but not so close they are cramped. The King Den features a king size bed, a rocking chair by the window and a baby crib if needed. Two windows brings in the morning sun, the nighttime moon and the sounds of the stream.

The redwood deck with the top rail designed for dining, tables and chairs and the hot tub give everyone space be together. There's a mini bridge for crossing the stream plus a fallen tree that invites you to walk across or sit in the middle and contemplate.

The Cottage is minutes by car and walking distance to Sundance Resort and the ski slopes, spa, restaurants and evening entertainment at the Owl Bar. A list of ongoing and current events at Sundance will be provided to help make your stay enjoyable. You really never have to leave the mountain. However, if you love the Best Snow on Earth and want to visit the other ski resorts, you are 45 minutes to Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons. 60 minutes to Alta, Snow Bird, Brighton and Solitude.

The property has plenty of parking.

As is typical for all Utah winter mountain driving, access may require 4-wheel drive or chains on a 2-whell drive vehicle between November 1st and March 31st.

Cancellation Policy: If written notice of cancellation is received by 5:00 MST, 30 days prior to reservation check in date, we will refund a full deposit less a $50 cancellation fee and a 3.4% processing fee. No refunds are offered for cancellations with less than 30 days notification, or 60 days for the winter holiday seasonal pricing. Check outs prior to the reserved dates are not eligible for a refund. A valid credit card will be kept on file for any damages, missing items or excessive cleaning.

Transit:

Sundance Resor is a mere 1.2 miles away. A super quick drive or nice walk in the summer. November through April requires four wheel or all wheel drive vehicles. Please check with the hosts.

Driveway parks two comfortably and space directly in front of Cabin is available.
Respectfully request no parking at neighborhing cabins or in the road.

Notes:

When you walk to the entrance of The Cottage you will see two trees growing side by side by the front door. Under the front windows in the spring the day lilies are like a sea of yellow gently blowing in the gentle breezes. There is a bench by the front door and the meadow is alive with creatures big and small. The turkeys meander through the property pecking at who knows what every day. In the spring the babies hustle behind their mommas. The deer drink from the stream, hanging out and then disappear in the trees. In the spring the meadow twinkles with butterflies of all colors and the hummingbirds begin looking for nectar. The plastic flowers in the window box are reminiscent of times and people passed that were the guardians of this place.

Felt like home
Four of us women stayed for 3 nights for a family girl's vacation. We thought the cottage was clean and comfortable with lots of room. It felt like home. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The couches and recliners were so comfortable we could have slept on them. The deck and hot tub were favorite hang-outs. The only thing that could have been better was the bathroom- a better mirror and a better shower head that didn't feel like a trickle. The bathroom was the only reason for four stars instead of 5. Everything else I'd give 5 stars.

Very pretty little cottage in a lovely location. It’s a small space but has very comfortable beds. There were some plumbing concerns and we were asked to have the male guests pee in the woods (even though there’s not much privacy near the cottage). Hopefully the septic issues can be improved.

We rented this cabin for a girls trip with 10 of us and we had such an amazing time. The upstairs with all the beds was the best!!! Super cute cabin-we loved that it’s at the end of the road so it feels so secluded. The backyard with the river is the best part of the experience.

What a beautiful place to wind down and enjoy friends and family. Pamela's place was tucked away at the end of a mountain road just an hour outside of Salt Lake City. The cabin is easy to find and Pamela is a very responsive host if there is anything that you need. The place was clean, quiet, comfortable and serene. There is only one bathroom which was not a problem for our group of 7 but could pose an issue for some larger groups. It was the perfect weekend getaway!

This cabin was an absolute dream to stay at! It was perfectly stocked with what we needed. We came up for a girls getaway. Even as a group of 13 people, we felt it was roomy enough to sleep and hang out. The stream was so lovely to listen to and the hottub was a perfect relaxing touch! We will definitely be back :)

What a quaint and charming cabin! Our stay was very comfortable and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. They stock the place with everything you could need, and we felt that the location was perfect. Tucked away along side a creek and just a short drive or walk to Sundance Resort- we couldn’t have asked for much better! We will definitely be back.

The location of this property is so unique and beautiful. We enjoyed time on the back deck listening to the creek and relaxing in the hot tub. Everything was well explained and noted by the hosts. We like getting a tutorial on the wood burning stove to have it work the most efficiently. There’s a ton of sleeping space in the home. Great for a group ski trip.

The cottage by the stream is a perfect place to use as a base for winter adventures, as well as warm up and relax in the hot tub after. The cottage is as described and the landscape simply stunning. The host is warm and communicative.

Pamela was very helpful with any questions we had. She had a fire going upon our arrival and provided us with suggestions for restaurants. During the winter I would suggest bringing sweats and a sweatshirt as the cottage downstairs can be a bit chilly. The cottage is in a lovely location at the end of a road. It’s right next to a small stream that you can hear at night and while relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. It’s very close to the Sundance Resort which made skiing a breeze. I highly recommend staying at this cottage.

Pamela, We just wanted to let you know how perfect our stay was at the cottage by the stream. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your homey, warm and inviting cottage. It snowed 18 inches the day we arrived and sitting in the comfy settings in the shadow of the beautiful Sundance resort and Wasatch mountains couldn’t have been better. Thanks for facilitating a perfect family weekend. I highly recommend this spot to everyone!! Thanks, Mary Nothum

The cottage was just lovely and the hosts even more so. The whole experience was a beautiful gift from a loving Universe during a time of great need. The bed is the most comfortable we’ve even slept in at an Airbnb, the hot tub was always hot for us, the wood burning stove was actually quite fun but be prepared to make it a focus for your stay if visiting in the winter months. There’s plenty of beds for an entire family or friend group of several people just be prepared to be patient with the bathroom situation as there’s just 1 small but perfect bathroom for your needs. The hosts are just incredible people. I only spoke to Pamela over the phone but met Lynn on a few occasions when we needed assistance with the fireplace. He was always right there to help and if you’re lucky, he’ll share some of his life story with you which is quite amazing. The stream was everything we needed, it was quiet, private (for the most part) and the perfect little stay for reset and relaxation. Definitely coming back to stay in more of their cabins and I highly recommend and encourage you to do the same! 🙌🙏

My friends and I had the best time when celebrating my birthday this past weekend. Pamela made sure we arrived safely and gave accurate directions and instructions for us to find the cabin. Pictures only gave a fragment of what a beautiful place this was. Such a kitschy cabin and we loved the decor! The outsdoor patio was a favorite spot of ours since we could relax in the hottub or sit and watch the river and squirrels. I gave Pamela a heads up I would be cooking a lot and she went out of her way to make sure I had all the spices I would need (such a gem). If you are a light sleeper, be advised that you will hear a lot of the downstairs noise if guests are downstairs while you’re trying to sleep. We brought white noise machines so it wasn’t an issue during our stay. The bathroom was on the smaller side. We loved that it was stocked with all the essentials and then some. The heater made it super toasty too. :) This cabin was such a great trip and place for us to make memories. Make sure to check out the guest book when wrapping up your stay!

This cabin is in the most amazing location, almost like a fairytale. It is an old quaint cabin with a stove firplace, tin roof and very rustic. The creek that runs next to the cabin is magical, we had the cabin windows open that let in the crisp fall air and the sounds of the creek were tranquil and soothing. The cabin has plenty of beds and the kitchen is stocked with silverware, pots and pans, spices, coffee pot, etc. The bathroom and kitchen have little heaters attached to the walls and kept those rooms very warm and cozy. The stove fireplace was warm and cozy. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay minus a few things. The cabin when we first entered smelled old and musty, it was hard not to notice and the carpets throughout are old and in some areas are stained. Those are the only complaints we have. Update the flooring and that cabin would go from an old outdated cabin to a more cozy rustic cabin.

First of all Pamela is a gem. Very responsive. She was easy to connect with and got back to us immediately on every little thing. It was unseasonably cold for October. But there was plenty of firewood and we didn’t mind keeping the fire going the whole time. The hot tub was a highlight. We used it every night. The beds were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. It was so fun to be in a secluded spot. We listened to the stream as we drifted off to sleep every night. Perfect setting for making lifetime memories.

We stayed here for a women’s retreat weekend and we had a really relaxing stay! A little something for everyone - hiking, crafts, games, yoga, and lots of laughs. And the hosts did a great job with the amenities - well stocked kitchen (spices, utensils, pans/bowls, etc), all the useful things like the extra blankets and towels and robes, shampoo in the shower, fire starters, etc. Also, softest flannel sheets ever! We will be back!

Ample space, stunning location, easy communication and plenty of places to hike by foot! We had a group experience here at this uniquely situated cottage with vintage flavor. Our hosts were close by to allow us the comfort of knowing we were in good hands. Expect to hear the beauty of nature to bring you healing and tranquility. This literally is a riverside location. Loved it!

This is a quaint, older cabin situated right on the creek as described. We had a blast relaxing in the hot tub and laying out in the grass under the stars. It was perfect for our tight-knit group. Just a heads up, there is only one bathroom and the upstairs is “family style” with a sheet for privacy in the larger bedroom. It was perfect for us and the host thought of every single detail at this cabin.

My family and I really loved this little cabin cozy cabin but big enough to fit my family of 14. There is only one bathroom but that doesn’t take away any points from us. The kitchen was clean and Pamela had everything we needed and more. We will for sure be returning.

We had an excellent stay at the cottage by the stream. We were there with nine teens and four adults and we all were very comfortable. Everything we needed was in the cabin and it could not have been more perfect setting. It was so relaxing to hear the stream run by while we are on the deck and slept at night. We actually ran into The owner and he was able to show us how to get to Stewart Falls right from the cabin. I highly recommend this cabin!

Lovely place! Pamela is a great Host. Cabin is beautiful and very clean. My family loved being there. The bathroom is small and was difficult at times with a large family. There is not a washer and dryer on the premises. The best part was being right next to the stream, beautiful scenery! Plenty of wildlife to see while we were there. Deer, turkeys, of course squirrels and chipmunks.
